Add The DM Compendium from the Obsidian community plugins and enable it in your vault. After enabling, open the plugin's settings to choose which D&D sources appear in search results.
Open the command palette (Ctrl+P / Cmd+P) and run "Insert from compendium". Search for monsters, items, or spells and insert the selected entry at your cursor. For faster access, it's recommended to assign a hotkey to the command in Obsidian's hotkey settings.
Spells and items render beautifully in reading view. Monster statblocks are fully compatible with other TTRPG plugins — you can add them to your bestiary, place creatures into initiative, and use integrated dice-roll support provided by compatible plugins.
